  • Introduction to the Symposium

    Building on the success of the inaugural symposium, the 2nd International Symposium on Contemporary Phonology will be hosted by the School of Chinese Language and Literature at Southwest Minzu University (Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China). This symposium aims to further academic exchange on contemporary phonological research and foster collaboration between scholars worldwide. We welcome contributions that explore theoretical advancements and interdisciplinary applications in phonology.

    Hosted by the School of Chinese Language and Literature at Southwest Minzu University (Chengdu, Sichuan), the 2nd International Symposium on Contemporary Phonology (ISCP 2025) will be held on July 26–27, 2025. The symposium aims to foster an international academic exchange platform in the field of phonology, focusing on theoretical and applied issues of contemporary phonological theory in Mandarin, regional dialects, and minority languages.

    Abstract Review Process

    (1)The organizing committee will arrange anonymous peer reviews of submitted abstracts, with each abstract evaluated by at least two experts

    (2)Authors of accepted abstracts will receive a formal invitation letter via email.
